Fardeen Khan Sets Record Straight on Viral Video Mix-Up
Bollywood actor Fardeen Khan recently found himself at the center of online speculation after a video from a Mumbai event went viral. The clip showed the actor accompanied by a woman dressed in black, leading many social media users to mistakenly identify her as his wife, Natasha Madhvani.
Clarification at HELLO! Hall of Fame Awards
Addressing the confusion directly, Fardeen Khan clarified the woman's identity while exiting the HELLO! Hall of Fame Awards in Mumbai. In footage from the event, the actor is seen correcting photographers who had misidentified his companion.
"Yeh meri behen hai, biwi nahi hai. Bahut saare handles mein aap log yahi likhte hai ke yeh meri biwi hai," Fardeen stated clearly, translating to "She is my sister, not my wife. On many handles, you people keep writing that she is my wife."
The woman in question was revealed to be his sister, Laila Khan, who appeared amused by the entire situation. Laila, daughter of the late actor Feroz Khan, is married to businessman Farhan Furniturewala and typically maintains a low public profile.
Background and Personal Life Context
Fardeen Khan married Natasha Madhvani in December 2005. Natasha is the daughter of veteran actress Mumtaz and businessman Mayur Madhvani. The couple has two children: daughter Diani Isabella Khan and son Azarius Fardeen Khan.
This clarification comes against a backdrop of ongoing speculation about Fardeen's personal life. In 2023, reports emerged suggesting that he and Natasha had "decided to part ways amicably," with claims they had been living separately for over a year. During this period, Fardeen had spoken about missing everyday moments with his children, emphasizing that he prioritizes spending time with them whenever they are in Mumbai.
Professional Comeback and Recent Projects
On the professional front, Fardeen Khan has been making a notable return to acting. He recently appeared in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated series 'Heeramandi', marking his comeback to the screen.
His last film appearance was in 'Housefull 5', which featured an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, Sonam Bajwa, Nana Patekar, Sanjay Dutt, and Jackie Shroff. The comedy film proved to be a commercial success, reportedly earning approximately Rs 300 crore worldwide.
The viral video incident highlights how quickly misinformation can spread on social media platforms, particularly regarding celebrities' personal lives. Fardeen's prompt correction serves as a reminder of the importance of verifying information before drawing conclusions about public figures and their relationships.
