Drake has made a stunning return to the music scene by releasing not one, not two, but three albums simultaneously. The acclaimed rapper was initially set to drop his album Iceman today, but fans were caught off guard by the triple release on streaming platforms until the artist himself confirmed the news during a livestream.
Drake Drops Three New Albums at Once
While earlier reports suggested that Drake would release Iceman today and later drop Maid of Honour, he dispelled all rumors in a recent livestream, confirming that all three albums would be released simultaneously on various music streaming platforms. He stated, "All 3 albums dropping at midnight from the biggest sound." In addition to the announcement, he shared cover art and teasers on his social media accounts. The albums are titled Iceman, Maid of Honour, and Habibti, collectively containing 43 songs and featuring numerous artists from the rap scene.
Many tracks include collaborations with prominent artists such as Future, 21 Savage, Sexyy Red, Qendresa, Molly Santana, Central Cee, Popcaan, PartyNextDoor, Loe Shimmy, Iconic Savvy, and Stunna Sandy. The title of the first album, Iceman, is a reference to Val Kilmer's iconic role as "Iceman" from the film Top Gun. Drake had been teasing the project since 2024, hinting at the release on multiple occasions.
More About Drake's New Albums
Drake also references several artists in his latest songs. For instance, in the track Don't Worry, he mentions Cardi B and Nicki Minaj with the lyrics: "He so drunk he just played Nicki then some Cardi… I'm sorry." Meanwhile, in Make Them Cry, he nods to the K-pop sensation BTS: "I'm feeling like BTS 'cause it took the whole career for me to be so discovered."
Iceman comprises 18 songs and runs for 1 hour and 8 minutes. Maid of Honour features 14 songs with a runtime of 45 minutes, while Habibti contains 11 songs lasting 35 minutes. Fans can now stream all three albums on major platforms, marking a historic moment in Drake's career.
