CBFC Orders Removal of Kissing Scenes from 'Chand Mera Dil'

The upcoming romantic drama 'Chand Mera Dil', starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, is scheduled to hit theatres this week. However, before its release, the film underwent scrutiny by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which granted a U/A 16+ certificate after requiring specific edits.

CBFC Demands Key Changes

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the CBFC instructed the filmmakers to make two significant alterations. Firstly, a kissing scene lasting approximately 10 seconds had to be replaced with more appropriate visuals. Secondly, a lip-lock sequence running for 1 minute and 36 seconds was ordered to be completely removed from the film. Additionally, the makers were required to submit consent letters from the child artists featured in the movie.

Certificate Issued on May 8

After the required modifications were implemented, the CBFC issued the censor certificate on May 8. The final runtime of the film, as per the certificate, is 135.36 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 15 minutes, and 36 seconds.
