CBFC Clears Kartik Aaryan's 'Tu Meri Main Tera' With 3 Cuts, Runtime Revealed
CBFC Clears Kartik Aaryan's Film With Cuts, Runtime 145 Mins

The much-anticipated Bollywood romantic comedy 'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri', starring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, is finally set for its theatrical release this week. While the trailer was warmly received by fans, the film's journey to the big screen required a final nod from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which came with specific directives for changes.

CBFC Mandates Key Modifications for U/A Certificate

According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the Central Board of Film Certification has granted the film a U/A 16+ certificate, but not before instructing the producers to implement several modifications. The examining committee recommended a total of three cuts in the movie to secure the rating.

The primary edit involves a sexually suggestive scene in the film's first half. The CBFC directed the makers to reduce the duration of this sequence, leading to the censorship of approximately 15 seconds of footage. Additionally, the board identified certain dialogues and subtitles containing obscene language.

The producers were asked to mute and remove these objectionable words from both the audio and the on-screen text. In a further specific instruction for the second half of the film, the committee ordered the muting and removal of abbreviations deemed to be obscene expressions within a particular sequence.

Final Runtime and Resubmission Details

After incorporating all the requested changes, the film's producers resubmitted the revised version to the CBFC on December 15. The board's clearance now paves the way for its scheduled release.

The official certificate lists the film's runtime as 145.41 minutes, which translates to 2 hours, 25 minutes, and 41 seconds. This duration reflects the final cut of the movie after all CBFC-mandated edits were applied.

Star-Studded Cast and Christmas Release

'Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri' marks the second on-screen collaboration between lead actors Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday, who were previously seen together in 'Pati Patni Aur Woh'. The film is directed by Sameer Vidwans, who also directed Kartik Aaryan in the successful 'Satyaprem Ki Katha'.

The supporting cast features notable veterans including Jackie Shroff, Tiku Talsania, Neena Gupta, and Aruna Irani, promising a blend of youthful energy and seasoned performances. The movie is strategically slated for a Christmas 2025 release, hitting theaters on December 25, aiming to capture the holiday audience.

With the CBFC hurdles cleared and the final runtime locked, all eyes are now on the box office performance of this romantic drama as it prepares to entertain audiences during the festive season.
