Fraser appeared on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' and shared details about his preparation. He revealed that he has been hitting the gym to get back into shape for the role. 'Doing my best,' Fraser said, adding that the film is finally happening after a long period of uncertainty. He admitted that for a while, he wasn't sure if the project would come to fruition. 'I was hopeful for a long while, and then I was like, I don't know if they are. Then other Mummy movies got made. But listen, what we're going to do is saddle back up, go back to the locations—I should probably stop talking like this, because I don't want to give everything away,' he teased.

Who Is Returning for 'The Mummy 4'?

Fraser confirmed that the original cast is reassembling for the new film. 'The only way to do it. So, we are going to give the audience what they have been bothering all of us for, for the last twenty-whatever years,' he said. In a previous interview with The Associated Press, Fraser expressed his excitement about the project, noting that the film he wanted to make never happened earlier. 'But the one I wanted to make is forthcoming. And I've been waiting 20 years for this call. Sometimes it was loud; sometimes it was a faint telegraph. Now? It's time to give the fans what they want,' he stated.

As of now, Fraser and Rachel Weisz have been confirmed to reprise their roles. Weisz was replaced by Maria Bello in the third film, 'Tomb of the Dragon Emperor', due to scheduling conflicts, and last appeared as Evelyn Carnahan in 'The Mummy Returns'. The upcoming film promises to bring back the chemistry that fans loved in the original movies.
