Orry Questioned in ₹252 Crore Drug Case After Lavish's Deportation
Bollywood's Orry Questioned in ₹252Cr Drug Case

Mumbai Police has summoned Bollywood socialite Orhan Awatramani, popularly known as Orry, for questioning in connection with the massive ₹252-crore drug trafficking case that has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry.

The Dubai Connection Unveiled

The summons comes following crucial disclosures made by Mohammed Salim Sohail Shaikh, alias Lavish, a key drug supplier who was recently deported from Dubai. Lavish stands as a prime suspect in the staggering mephedrone seizure that occurred in Sangli during March 2024, with the confiscated drugs valued at an unprecedented ₹252 crore.

Originally hailing from Dongri in south Mumbai, Sheikh had been residing in Dubai for the past three years before his deportation. According to investigative reports, Lavish served as a close associate of alleged drug lord Salim Dola, overseeing mephedrone production operations spanning at least seven Indian states.

International Drug Network Exposed

Police investigations reveal that Dola, considered the primary suspect with alleged connections to the Dawood Ibrahim gang, operated the extensive drug network from Dubai alongside his recently deported son Taher and nephew Mustafa Kubbawala. Lavish functioned as Dola's trusted aide in this international operation, recruiting individuals for nationwide distribution of mephedrone, a powerful synthetic stimulant.

Authorities have successfully facilitated the deportation of both Taher and Kubbawala earlier this year. Meanwhile, the hunt continues for Salim Dola, who investigators believe has relocated to Turkey from the UAE following his relatives' deportation between June and July.

Bollywood's Dark Underbelly Revealed

In a shocking revelation that has gripped the nation, Lavish has confessed to organizing rave parties across India and international locations for film celebrities, fashion icons, and even gangsters. The Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) is actively probing these connections and examining whether other drug traffickers arranged similar events for high-profile personalities.

Officials confirm they haven't ruled out questioning individuals named by Shaikh during interrogations. The accused allegedly supplied drugs to participants at these exclusive events, according to November 14 reports.

Earlier disclosures from Salim Dola's son Taher added more fuel to the fire, claiming that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers, and even relatives of Dawood Ibrahim attended drug parties organized by him in India and abroad. Official documents state that Taher not only arranged these parties but also personally supplied drugs during the events.

Specific names mentioned in investigation documents include Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, and Ori alias Orhan Awatramani (Orry), among others. The document clearly states that the accused "has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad" with these individuals and "has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people."

The Mumbai Police continues its thorough investigation into the sprawling drug network, with more developments expected as they follow the money trail and international connections.
