Dubbing Artist Bhagyalakshmi Slams Mohanlal for Sharing Dileep's Film Poster Post-Verdict
Bhagyalakshmi criticises Mohanlal over Dileep film poster

In a strong and emotional reaction, renowned dubbing artist Bhagyalakshmi has publicly criticised Malayalam superstar Mohanlal for his decision to share the promotional poster of actor Dileep's upcoming film Bha.Bha.Ba on social media. This criticism comes in the immediate aftermath of the court's verdict in the high-profile 2017 actress assault case, in which Dileep is an accused.

Questioning the Timing: A Painful Act

Bhagyalakshmi addressed the media at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) venue in Thiruvananthapuram. She pointed out that Mohanlal chose to share the poster on the very day the verdict was announced, a timing she found deeply insensitive. Mohanlal, who has a guest role in the Dileep-starrer, had shared the poster via his official social media handles.

"Didn't he even think for a moment about what he was doing?" Bhagyalakshmi questioned, expressing her profound disappointment. She emphasised that Mohanlal is a figure deeply loved by many, which made his action feel even more painful and bewildering to those standing in solidarity with the survivor.

Survivor's Humiliation and Unbroken Resolve

Speaking about the survivor of the assault case, Bhagyalakshmi revealed the extent of the trauma endured. She stated that the humiliation faced inside the closed courtroom was, in some ways, greater than the ordeal during the actual assault. Referring to past statements, she noted, "We also heard him say that he is praying for him and praying for her. Beyond this, she cannot bear any more humiliation."

Bhagyalakshmi strongly countered any narrative suggesting the survivor has been broken by the recent developments. "She has not weakened even by an inch," she asserted. She disclosed that from December 8th, the survivor was actively preparing the detailed note she later posted on social media. "She will go to any extent within the law. There is nothing more for her to suffer. Those doing PR work or the person who gave the quotation should not think they can break her," Bhagyalakshmi declared, sending a powerful message of defiance.

Allegations of Unending Cruelty

The dubbing artist also directed sharp criticism at Dileep's conduct following the verdict. She alleged that instead of stating "truth has won," Dileep once again invoked the name of another actress in his comments. According to Bhagyalakshmi, this act demonstrates that his villainy has still not ended.

Her comments have ignited a fresh wave of discussion within the Malayalam film industry and among the public, highlighting the ongoing social and emotional ramifications of the case that has gripped Kerala for years. The incident underscores the complex interplay between personal friendships, professional collaborations, and public moral stances in the wake of a legal judgment.
