The National Indian Film Festival of Australia (NIFFA) has officially announced its ambitious 2026 programme, positioning Australia to host the most extensive celebration of Indian cinema anywhere outside India itself. Expansive Festival Programme Across Australia
Scheduled to run through to 5 July 2026, NIFFA will span an impressive 14 Australian cities while showcasing more than 32 films across 18 distinct Indian languages. The festival recently launched with considerable fanfare through a red-carpet screening of Boong, which holds the distinction of being the first Indian film ever to win a BAFTA award.
