Vetri Maaran's Arasan Production Suspended Amidst Actor-Producer Conflict

Reports indicate that producer Ishari K Ganesh signed Silambarasan TR for a new film project shortly after the actor's successful outing. As part of this agreement, the producer reportedly paid the actor an advance of ₹5 crore. However, this project ultimately failed to materialize and enter production.
Industry sources suggest that delays attributed to the actor's schedule were a primary factor in the project's collapse. This failure to launch planted the seeds for the current legal and professional standoff. Attempts to seek comments from Ishari K Ganesh and FEFSI president RK Selvamani for this report did not yield any response prior to publication.
Father's Intervention and a Call for Nadigar Sangam
Adding a new dimension to the controversy, Silambarasan's father and veteran actor, T Rajhendherr, publicly intervened on Tuesday. In a supportive audio message, he questioned the legitimacy of halting the Arasan shoot. Rajhendherr pointed out that a recent court verdict in the ongoing case between Ishari Ganesh and his son was delivered in favor of Silambarasan TR.
"I am speaking out because FEFSI and the Tamil Film Producers Council must act justly," he stated. He formally called for the intervention of the Nadigar Sangam, the actors' association, to help mediate and resolve the dispute. Rajhendherr raised a critical, industry-wide concern: "Even after a court has delivered a judgement, they are demonstrating the power to stop an ongoing film shoot. I must ask, is this action justified?"
