AP Dhillon Lights Up The Great Indian Kapil Show with Music and Revelations
The fourth season of The Great Indian Kapil Show continues to dazzle audiences by featuring a stellar lineup of celebrities from Bollywood, music, and sports. Following a grand opening with global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas, the latest episode welcomed the sensational singer AP Dhillon and popular comedian Anubhav Bassi, adding a fresh wave of entertainment and laughter.
A Debut Performance and Candid Conversations
AP Dhillon kicked off the show with an exclusive, first-ever live performance of his brand-new track, "Thinking of You." This marked a special moment for fans, as the singer unveiled the song publicly for the very first time on the Kapil Sharma-hosted platform. As the episode progressed, Dhillon settled into a comfortable chat with Kapil, delving into his remarkable journey in the music industry and personal life anecdotes.
During their engaging conversation, Kapil Sharma posed an intriguing question about Dhillon's hit song 'Old Money,' released in 2024. He inquired how the singer managed to unite two of Bollywood's biggest superstars, Sanjay Dutt and Salman Khan, for the music video. AP Dhillon shared an amusing and insightful story, revealing his deep admiration for old-school Bollywood action films.
The Story Behind 'Old Money' and Star-Studded Casting
"I really love old-school Bollywood action," Dhillon explained. "I always wanted to do something in that style. And there are only two actors who truly fit that gangster action vibe. So I picked up the phone, called bhai (Salman Khan), and said, 'I have an idea for a video, would you like to hear it?' He said, 'Just tell me when you want to shoot. I don't need to hear the idea.' I said, okay."
This casual yet confident approach led to the creation of 'Old Money,' a track that boasts a star-studded lineup including Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, and Shinda Kahlon. The episode also featured lighthearted moments, with Kapil joking about concert experiences. He humorously revealed that ticket prices for some events could reach close to Rs 6 lakhs, and shared anecdotes about audience members losing their phones and wallets during shows.
Kapil cracked a hilarious punchline, saying, "AP stage pe apna talent dikha rahe the… aur log audience mein apna talent." AP Dhillon joined in the fun, adding, "Usne 6 lakh diye hain pura toh karna hai na.." This exchange had everyone in the studio bursting out with laughter, highlighting the show's signature blend of comedy and celebrity interactions.

As the episode wrapped up, it was hinted that The Great Indian Kapil Show will soon be returning with an exciting season 5, promising more laughter, star power, and unforgettable moments.
