Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain Return to Laughter Chefs Season 3
Popular television couple Ankita Lokhande and Vicky Jain have made a highly anticipated comeback to the culinary comedy show Laughter Chefs for its third season. In an exclusive interview with Times of India TV, the duo opened up about their emotional journey, the challenges they faced, and their heartfelt connection with the show's team.
The Homecoming Feeling on Set
Ankita Lokhande expressed her deep affection for the Laughter Chefs set, describing it as a place that feels like home rather than a typical shooting location. "The OGs are back, so what more do you need?" she exclaimed. "This morning, we got scolded a lot because we didn't listen to anyone. Bharti and Harpal even left the set in anger. We are those kids who never listen, and that's why the set feels just like home."
Vicky Jain echoed similar sentiments, emphasizing the unique atmosphere on set. "There's no shooting vibe on this set at all. Everyone is just friends meeting each other. It feels like we haven't caught up in a long time, so we keep talking, laughing, and having fun without even getting tired. The energy and atmosphere are amazing. That's why this show doesn't just work for me—it's very close to my heart, and it's genuinely fun to shoot."
Addressing the Scripted Show Allegations
The couple directly responded to online trolls who have claimed that Laughter Chefs is scripted. Ankita firmly stated, "Not even one percent of the show is scripted. Trolling is their job, and ours is to ignore it. People say this about every reality show. Even during Bigg Boss, they claimed it was scripted, which is not true at all."
Vicky added practical evidence to counter the allegations: "We cook with a lot of hard work. If things were planned, the food would always turn out perfect—but that doesn't happen. Our dishes get burnt, they get spoiled. That itself proves it's real. There is no training at all. In shows like MasterChef, contestants are trained properly, but that's not the case with Laughter Chefs."
Emotional Moments and Missing the Team
Both Ankita and Vicky shared emotional insights about missing the previous season. Ankita revealed, "Honestly, I didn't watch the episodes because I was crying a lot. I didn't feel like watching them then, and even now I don't want to."
Vicky elaborated on their experience: "We had gone to a Laughter Chefs party, which everyone attends, but at that time we weren't part of the show. It was just a promo, and we weren't there. Back then, we are fine but later it hit us hard that we are not part of the show. Now we are back, we are very happy, and we're having a lot of fun."
Professional Dedication and Health Challenges
Ankita spoke about the professional commitment required in the entertainment industry, even when facing health issues. "This is the rule of our industry—the show must go on. And that's what all of us do, not just me. I've seen many big artists who are extremely tired, yet they never step away from their work. This is a small thing in comparison. You can't deny it. This set is like your home. You have to work hard and entertain people, and that's why you do it."
Praise for Co-stars and Future Plans
The couple expressed admiration for their co-star Bharti Singh, who returned to shooting just three weeks after her delivery. Ankita said, "Bharti is extremely hardworking, and I believe this is the right age to focus on work. One day, she might say she doesn't want to do it anymore, but for now, she is passionate and fully dedicated to what she does. That's why she's giving it her all. Hats off to her."
When asked about their plans for embracing parenthood, the couple shared a lighthearted moment. Vicky joked, "The media person is asking what can we do right now? Bharti has had two, what about us." Ankita responded playfully, "You tell her this time." Vicky added with humor, "She's a little unwell at the moment. Let her recover first, and then we'll plan something. She isn't well yet and keeps sneezing."
The interview reveals a couple deeply connected to their work, their colleagues, and the authentic spirit of Laughter Chefs Season 3. Their return marks a significant moment for fans who have followed their journey from television screens to reality shows and back again.
