Alia Bhatt Dismisses Online Marriage Speculation as 'Not Real'
Bollywood star Alia Bhatt has firmly addressed the persistent online chatter surrounding her marriage to actor Ranbir Kapoor, labeling the speculation as "not real" and completely irrelevant to their daily lives. In a candid recent interview, the acclaimed actress emphasized that short viral clips and memes cannot define a partnership that has endured for seven years, built on a foundation of family, routine, and emotional security.
The Couple's Response to Online Noise
Speaking with Esquire India, Alia Bhatt explained her perspective on why she and Ranbir do not take online opinions seriously. "The noise doesn't reach us. Because it's not real," she stated. "They're responding to three-and-a-half seconds or seven seconds of what they're seeing. We've been together for seven years. That's way more seconds than what people are commenting on."
She added that while they occasionally find humor in memes about them, most of the online commentary fails to register in their lives. "Even the B of bother doesn't enter our life," Alia remarked. "If you're in a room of fifty people, maybe only four actually care about you. The rest might be thinking terrible things, but you can't hear them."
Focus on Reality Over Rumors
Alia stressed that online trolling has absolutely no impact on her actual life or family dynamics. "Is my reality changing? No. Is my family dynamic changing? Not at all. Am I living my dream? Yes. Do I go to sleep every day with a grateful heart? One hundred percent," she affirmed. The couple, who tied the knot in April 2022 at their Mumbai residence after a long courtship, have consistently seen their public appearances and statements analyzed online, but Alia insists none of it affects what truly matters to them.
Ranbir Kapoor's Transformation into Fatherhood
Alia also shared insights into Ranbir's personal growth since becoming a father to their daughter, Raha. She noted that fatherhood has revealed a more sensitive side of him. "He's far more sensitive than he lets on. He's shy, so he holds a lot back," she observed. "But with her, he's incredibly expressive. His eyes, his face, everything lights up. He almost becomes a child himself."
She recalled how Ranbir took a month off work even before Raha's birth to support her, demonstrating his dedication. "He would go for a shoot and literally run home," Alia said. "He'd run straight into the room to see her. His love is very obvious. He can't help himself."
Embracing New Family Routines
On another talk show with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, Alia discussed how motherhood has altered her daily rhythm. "When you have a baby, your body clock changes," she mentioned, adding that she and Ranbir now adopt an early sleep and wake-up schedule that perfectly suits their family life.
Upcoming Professional Ventures
On the professional front, fans can look forward to seeing Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor share the screen once again in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's highly anticipated film 'Love and War', which also features Vicky Kaushal. This project marks another significant collaboration for the power couple in the entertainment industry.
