Eminem's Daughter Alaina Scott Announces Postpartum Boundaries for Family and Friends

Alaina Scott, the pregnant daughter of rap icon Eminem, has recently opened up about the firm boundaries she intends to establish with her close circle after the arrival of her baby daughter. The expectant mother emphasized that her primary focus will be on her own recovery, maintaining peace within her home environment, and ensuring the absolute safety of her newborn child once she gives birth.

Instagram Stories Reveal Detailed Requests Shared in Advance

Alaina, who is anticipating the birth of her first child with husband Matt Moeller, addressed this topic through a series of posts on her Instagram Stories this past Thursday. She clarified that she and Matt have proactively distributed a list of specific requests to their friends and family members before the baby is even born.

"Some people are dropping rules or wishes too, so I will add what we will or have already sent out to friends and family," Scott wrote, according to reports from PEOPLE magazine.

Specific Rules Include No Surprise Visits and Hygiene Protocols

"Once we are home, please do not stop by unannounced or plan any surprise visits. Please feel free to check in and see when a good time is to come visit," she continued in her social media messages. Alaina also elaborated on how she and Matt plan to manage the delicate issue of guests holding their newborn daughter. She stated that the couple themselves will determine the appropriate moment when they feel comfortable offering the baby to visitors.

"No kissing the baby anywhere—hands, feet, head, etc. There are no exceptions to this rule," she wrote firmly. "Wash hands and sanitize thoroughly before touching or holding her." Alaina further disclosed that they have decided against posting photographs of their baby on the internet and have politely requested others to honor this privacy choice.

Defending Boundaries as Essential for Peace and Recovery

"These boundaries may seem extreme or a bit much to some people, but protecting our peace, my postpartum recovery, and our baby is the most important thing," Scott explained. "I am not willing to compromise my own comfort for someone else's potential uncomfortableness."

Background on the Pregnancy Announcement and Emotional Journey

Alaina publicly announced in October that she and Matt are expecting their first child together. In the heartfelt announcement post, the couple was pictured holding a small white onesie that read "Baby Moeller" and "Coming 2026." Alongside the photo, she penned an emotional message about her journey into motherhood.

"THE BEST OF YOU + ME," Scott wrote in her caption. "For months, I have carried a tiny heartbeat inside me, one that has already changed mine in every possible way." This revelation adds a deeply personal layer to her current discussions about setting necessary boundaries for the postpartum period.
