According to a report by Pinkvilla, Akshay Kumar's team has categorically denied these reports, labeling them as baseless rumors. Senior members of the actor's team stated that the circulating talks on the internet are entirely false and hold no truth.

For the past few days, there had been speculation online suggesting that Akshay Kumar and Rana Daggubati were joining forces for a grand period thriller. The film was rumored to be directed by Chandoo Mondeti, known for films like 'Thandel', 'Premam', and 'Karthikeya'. Additionally, it was claimed that the project would be produced under Karan Johar's banner, Dharma Productions. However, these reports have now been dismissed as mere hearsay.
Akshay Kumar's 'Bhooth Bangla' Box Office Performance
Currently, Akshay Kumar's latest release, 'Bhooth Bangla', directed by Priyadarshan, is performing well at the box office. The film, which reunites the successful duo, has collected over Rs 6.15 crore in six days from 11,584 shows, according to trade analyst Sacnilk. This brings the total India net collections to Rs 78.90 crore, with worldwide gross collections reaching Rs 127.37 crore.
Akshay Kumar's Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Akshay Kumar was last seen in the comedy courtroom drama 'Jolly LLB 3'. His next release is 'Welcome To The Jungle', scheduled for June 26, 2026. He has also joined Rohit Shetty's comedy universe with the Ajay Devgn-starrer 'Golmaal 5'. Additionally, he will appear in Priyadarshan's 'Haiwaan'.
