Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, and Raashii Khanna are progressing with the production of their upcoming untitled romantic comedy, directed by Anees Bazmee. The actors recently filmed portions of a romantic song in Mumbai after completing the Kerala schedule in May. The team will travel to Dehradun in July to shoot the remaining parts of the track, which highlights key relationships in the narrative.
Mumbai Shoot Details
According to a report by Mid-day, the unit is currently filming at Royal Palms in Goregaon, Mumbai. The production has been moving at a brisk pace following the Kerala leg. The romantic track features Kumar, Balan, and Khanna, exploring how Kumar and Balan's characters first fell in love. In the film, they portray a married couple, while the song also introduces Kumar's character meeting Khanna's character, who plays his former girlfriend.
A source told Mid-day, “A set depicting the interiors of the lead couple’s home, designed by Mayur Sharma, was put up at Royal Palms. Choreographer Vijay Ganguly shot parts of the song over three days. In July, the unit will head to Dehradun where they will film the remaining portions of the track.” The sequence provides a romantic thread for the film while establishing the connection among the three central characters.
Dehradun Schedule
The Dehradun schedule will complete the song that began in Mumbai. The team plans to shoot the pending portions next month, as per the report. Bazmee's film reunites Kumar and Balan in a romantic-comedy setting, with their marriage forming a core part of the story. Khanna's role adds another layer through her past connection with Kumar.
The Mumbai shoot utilized a home interior set designed specifically for the lead couple, capturing emotional moments tied to their relationship. Ganguly handled the choreography for the track. The report described the setup as a love story involving three characters and noted that the film remains untitled.
Kumar, Balan, and Khanna will continue work on the project as the team prepares for the Dehradun leg. The song shoot marks another milestone in the film's production after the earlier Kerala schedule.
