Akshay Kumar Injured During High-Octane Stunt for 'Bhooth Bangla'

Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar sustained an injury while filming a demanding stunt for his upcoming horror comedy 'Bhooth Bangla' in Mumbai, as reported on April 9. The incident occurred during a high-action sequence, highlighting the risks involved in real stunt work.

Behind-the-Scenes Video Reveals Stunt Mishap

According to details shared by the makers, a behind-the-scenes video from the film set shows Kumar attempting a dramatic jump kick mid-air. However, while landing, he lost balance and fell, hurting himself in the process. This update has garnered significant attention, especially since Kumar has publicly expressed his preference for performing real stunts over relying on visual effects.

Kumar recently emphasized his dislike for using VFX and AI in action scenes when they diminish the authenticity and thrill. He believes that audiences can feel the genuine effort and realism on screen, which drives his commitment to doing his own stunts.

Co-producer Ektaa Kapoor announced the change on Instagram, citing the strong box office performance of Ranveer Singh's film 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' as a key factor. In her post, she explained that the decision was made after consultations with distributors and exhibitors to ensure both films receive adequate space and attention in theaters.
