New Concept in Development
According to recent reports, Dhar has developed a fresh concept and is actively working on transforming it into a full-fledged feature film. As per Pinkvilla, Dhar is currently developing the script and aims to begin production by early 2027. The report states, "Aditya Dhar has cracked an idea and is currently working on it. He's excited about the concept and is developing it actively, with a plan to start the film by March 2027."
Ranveer Singh as Frontrunner
While the project remains in its early stages, Ranveer Singh has emerged as the frontrunner to headline the yet-untitled film. Similar to the 'Dhurandhar' films, this new venture is expected to be a large-scale production. If finalized, the collaboration between Dhar and Singh could become one of the most anticipated film projects of 2027.
Dhar's Timeline and Personal Break
The 2027 timeline aligns with Dhar's desire to take some time off after spending the last three years working on 'Dhurandhar'. The director has expressed his wish to enjoy some personal time before diving into his next project.

Over the past months, rumors have circulated that Dhar is inclined to reunite with Ranveer for a historical drama about the founder of the Maurya Empire. According to Variety India, Dhar may also revive his passion project 'The Immortal Ashwatthama', which was previously shelved, or begin work on a large-scale historical epic about Chandragupta Maurya. Additionally, he has a sports drama in development.
