Abhinav Shukla, an actor known for his outspoken nature, has made a strong demand for the resignation of NDRF and government authorities. This call comes after they failed to rescue software engineer Yuvraj Mehra in Greater Noida. The incident involved Mehra's car falling into a water-filled pit, leading to a tragic outcome.
Details of the Tragic Incident
Abhinav Shukla shared a video on X to highlight the case. In the video, he described how Yuvraj Mehra's car collided with a construction site wall and plunged into the pit. Following the accident, Mehra immediately alerted the fire department, police, and NDRF. All these agencies arrived at the scene with equipment like cranes and ropes.
Failure of Rescue Efforts
Despite their presence, not a single professional rescuer entered the water to save Mehra. For two hours, the young boy stood atop his submerged car, shouting for help and struggling to survive. Abhinav expressed shock that these departments, whose primary job is rescue and protection, did nothing but watch.
Bravery of a Flipkart Delivery Person
In a surprising turn, a Flipkart delivery person showed true courage. He tied himself to a rope and entered the water to reach Mehra. However, after two hours of efforts, the rescue operation ultimately failed, and no one was able to save the kid.
Abhinav Shukla's Strong Criticism
Abhinav Shukla did not hold back in his criticism. He stated that all departments involved should resign immediately. He emphasized that those who were on site and unable to save Mehra must step down. The actor questioned why taxpayer money funds departments that fail in basic rescue work.
He called the situation a shame and disgusting. Abhinav urged authorities to improve recruitment and training. He believes rescue teams need to be capable and brave enough to save lives. If these departments cannot perform during emergencies, their role and existence should be questioned.
Social Media Post
In his video caption, Abhinav wrote strongly. He said, "Shame NDRF, Shame Fire Dept, Shame on authorities, you couldn’t save a young kid! I wonder why your departments even exist if you could not do a basic job for which you train your entire life with taxpayers money! Bravo that Flipkart Delivery guy who tried! @PMOIndia!...(sic)."
This incident has sparked discussions on government accountability and rescue operations in India. Abhinav Shukla's voice adds to the growing concerns over public safety and departmental efficiency.
