In a significant recognition for the ancient Indian medical system, a distinguished Pune-based Ayurvedic practitioner has been honoured on a global stage. Renowned Ayurvedacharya Dr Harish Patankar was conferred with the prestigious International Ayurveda Ratna Award at the Second World Ayurveda Health Summit.

A Grand Stage for Traditional Medicine

The award ceremony took place at the Palace Grounds in Bengaluru, where the summit was recently held. The honour was presented to Dr Patankar by noted actor and theatre director Prakash Belawadi. The event itself was a massive congregation, organized by Prashanti Ayurved Center and supported by both the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, and the Department of Ayush, Government of Karnataka.

The primary aim of the summit was to promote Ayurveda on an international platform and to foster a meaningful dialogue between traditional Ayurvedic wisdom and modern healthcare systems.
