Patna Science Teacher Honoured as District's Best Educator
In a proud moment for Patna's educational community, Wilfred Henry, a dedicated science teacher at PM Shri Senior Secondary School in Maner, has been selected for the prestigious 'Teacher of the Month' award for November 2025. This district-level recognition in Patna celebrates his exceptional contributions and outstanding performance in the field of education.
Official Recognition and Ceremony Details
The award certificate was formally issued by B Rajender, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Education Department, and Sajjan Rajasekar, the Director of Secondary Education. The honour was personally conferred upon Henry when Saket Ranjan, the District Education Officer of Patna, invited him to his office and presented the certificate a few days ago.
This is not the first accolade for the esteemed teacher. Earlier, in September last year (2024), Henry was chosen for the state-level 'Rajkiya Shikshak Puraskar-2025'. He received that certificate from State Education Minister Sunil Kumar during a formal function, highlighting his consistent excellence.
A Legacy of Two Decades and National Acclaim
An official statement on Wednesday shed further light on Henry's remarkable career. "Apart from this, Henry has received numerous national and international recognitions, certificates, and awards for his innovative teaching techniques," the official noted.
His commitment runs deep, with a teaching tenure spanning the past 20 years at the Maner-based school. Throughout his career, he has focused on uplifting students from village communities, with a special emphasis on encouraging and empowering girls' education.
Impact and Inspiration for the Future
The consecutive awards—the state honour in 2024 and now the district's 'Teacher of the Month' for November 2025—solidify Wilfred Henry's status as a leading educator in Bihar. His story is a powerful testament to the impact of dedicated teachers in rural India. By employing innovative teaching methods and focusing on inclusive education, especially for female students, Henry sets a benchmark for educators across the state and serves as a true inspiration for the next generation of teachers.
