Nitish Kumar in World Book of Records for 10th CM Term

In a significant international accolade, Bihar's Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) supremo Nitish Kumar has been officially honoured by the World Book of Records, London. The recognition celebrates his unprecedented political journey and his role in fortifying democratic principles.

A Decade of Leadership Recognised

The JD(U)'s national working president, Sanjay Kumar Jha, shared the news on social media platform X this Friday. He expressed immense pride, stating that the World Book of Records has acknowledged the extraordinary milestone achieved by Nitish Kumar, who recently took oath as the Chief Minister for an unparalleled tenth time.

Jha emphasised that this rare distinction in India's democratic history is not just a personal achievement but a historic moment for Bihar itself. It reflects the leader's stable governance, unwavering public service, and the profound trust bestowed upon him by the people of the state over decades.

Ceremony and Formal Inclusion

The certificate of honour was formally presented to Nitish Kumar in a ceremony organised by Supreme Court advocate Santosh Shukla, who is also the President of the World Book of Records. The adjudicators for WBR India, Sanjoy Dolo and Radha Richisow, handed over the certificate to the Chief Minister.

According to an official press release from the World Book of Records, Kumar was felicitated specifically for serving as Bihar's Chief Minister for four terms and for his "matchless contribution in politics to strengthen democratic values". The organisation has confirmed its intention to include his name in its distinguished global listings, cementing this unmatched accomplishment.

An Unmatched Political Tenure

Nitish Kumar recently embarked on his tenth stint as Bihar's Chief Minister following the assembly election results on November 20. His political saga in the top post began on March 3, 2000, and cumulatively, he has served for over 19 years and three months.

While his first term lasted a mere seven days due to a lack of majority, his resilience led him to become Bihar's longest-serving Chief Minister. His career is marked by a record ten swearing-in ceremonies over a span of 25 years, a feat that remains unmatched in the annals of Indian state politics.

Upon receiving this global recognition, Nitish Kumar was congratulated by several dignitaries, including Member of Parliament from England Virendra Sharma, Chairman of World Book of Records London Dr. Diwakar Sukul, and President Santosh Shukla, among other international figures.
