Millennium Cup Race Revives Lucknow's Racing Spirit with Thrills & Fashion
Lucknow's Millennium Cup Race: Winners, Fashion & Excitement

The historic Lucknow Race Course was once again the epicenter of excitement and elegance as the Millennium Cup Race brought together racing enthusiasts and fashion aficionados for a spectacular afternoon. The event marked a vibrant return of the city's cherished racing culture, blending competitive sport with high-society glamour.

Equestrian Excellence Takes Center Stage

The afternoon's action kicked off with a spirited race featuring Indian-bred horses, showcasing the skill and dedication of both horse owners and jockeys. The event, presented by Brig SS Pundir and Manjula Goswami, witnessed a thrilling contest. The Winner's Trophy was claimed by the horse Burak, owned by Mohd Abdullah and expertly ridden by jockey Mohd Sohil. Securing a strong second place was Golden Boy, owned by Shabab Abbas Naqvi with jockey Aktar Ali in the saddle. The third position on the podium was taken by Rudra, owned by Vikas Pandey and ridden by jockey Krish.

The schedule, however, faced a brief but notable interruption. The much-anticipated Thoroughbred horse race was declared a false start by the stewards. This announcement paused the proceedings and became a hot topic of discussion among the spectators filling the stands, adding an unexpected twist to the day's narrative.

A Celebration of Style and Elegance

Parallel to the thundering hooves on the track, the event hosted a series of prestigious lifestyle and fashion awards. These were presented by Maj Gen Maneesh Kukrety, Sangeeta Kukrety, and Dr. Manjula Goswami to distinguished guests across various categories.

The awards celebrated the sartorial elegance of the attendees. Brig Sobhan and Jessica walked away with the Best Hat titles for Male and Female respectively. Pooja Singh and Shashank Shukla were honored as the Best Dressed Lady and Gentleman. The 'Made for Each Other' titles were awarded to two couples: Lt Col Rajul Rajesh and Madhvi Srivastava in the young couple category, and Brig Vinod Raizada and Sailila Raizada in the senior couple category.
