The College of Nursing at Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) in Lucknow marked a significant milestone with the celebration of its 16th batch of BSc nursing students through a solemn lamp lighting and oath-taking ceremony. This prestigious event, held at the CV Raman Auditorium on Friday, also commemorated the 17th foundation day of the nursing college, blending tradition with academic achievement.

Ceremony Highlights and Student Participation

A total of 64 first-year BSc nursing students participated in the ceremony, where they lit the lamp of wisdom and took a professional pledge. The initiation was led by nursing superintendent Manju Singh and tutor Alice Joseph, symbolizing the students' commitment to the nursing profession. The programme was meticulously coordinated by associate professor Dr Anju Verma and tutor Matadeen, ensuring a seamless and meaningful experience for all attendees.
