Surat witnessed a momentous academic celebration as Sarvajanik University successfully conducted its fourth convocation ceremony. The event took place at the MTB Cricket Ground on Friday, marking a significant milestone for the institution and its students.

A Grand Celebration of Academic Excellence

The convocation saw a total of 2,114 students receiving their hard-earned degrees across various academic levels. These included graduate, postgraduate, and diploma programmes, reflecting the diverse educational offerings of the university.

Recognizing Outstanding Achievements

In a special recognition of academic brilliance, 53 students were honored with gold medals for their exceptional performance. This gesture highlighted the university's commitment to rewarding merit and encouraging scholarly pursuits among its student community.

Distinguished Guests Grace the Occasion

The ceremony was graced by eminent personalities from the academic and judicial fields. Dr Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Vice-Chancellor of the prestigious Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), served as the chief guest. He was joined by Ravi Tripathi, former judge of the Gujarat High Court, and Kiran Pandya, the university's provost, adding solemnity and prestige to the proceedings.

University's Remarkable Growth Trajectory

Sarvajanik University Chairman Ashish Vakil shared impressive statistics about the institution's rapid development since its establishment in 2021. He revealed that the university began with 2,465 first-year admissions across 48 academic programmes. Within just four years, it has expanded significantly, welcoming 3,453 new students into 53 programmes. The total student enrollment now stands at an impressive 9,239, creating a vibrant academic community.

Infrastructure and Quality Enhancements

The chairman further elaborated on the university's physical and qualitative growth. Many of its constituent colleges have earned prestigious 4-5 star ratings, indicating high standards of education. The campus has seen substantial infrastructure development, with an addition of 84,711 square feet of facilities. Looking ahead, the university plans to complete construction of an additional 123,841 square feet in the coming year, further expanding its academic resources.

Commitment to Student Support

Demonstrating its dedication to making education accessible, Sarvajanik University has invested significantly in student welfare. The institution spent more than Rs 35 lakh on scholarships, supporting deserving students in their academic journeys and reducing financial barriers to quality education.
