Patliputra University Forges Landmark Partnership with Agastya Foundation for Student Internships
In a significant development for higher education in Bihar, Patliputra University (PPU) has entered into a strategic collaboration with the Agastya Foundation to offer free internship opportunities to thousands of its students. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was formally signed on Thursday at the university's headquarters in Patna, marking a pivotal step toward enhancing practical learning experiences.
Massive Scale Initiative Under CBCS Framework
The partnership is designed to benefit approximately 8,000 students who are currently pursuing degree-level studies under the university's four-year choice-based credit system (CBCS). According to PPU Registrar Abu Bakar, this initiative is meticulously aligned with the provisions of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which places a strong emphasis on experiential learning and skill development as core components of modern higher education.
"The internships will be structured to provide hands-on experience that complements academic learning, directly supporting the NEP's vision," Bakar stated. The MoU was signed by Vice-Chancellor Prof Upendra Prasad Singh representing Patliputra University and Agastya Foundation Director Ramji Raghwan on behalf of the foundation.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Prof Singh highlighted the transformative potential of this collaboration. "This partnership will effectively bridge the critical gap between academic learning and practical exposure," he explained.
