LU's Historic Republic Day Parade Features All Three NCC Wings for First Time
LU's First Tri-Service NCC Parade on Republic Day

Lucknow University is preparing for a historic moment this Republic Day. For the very first time, all three wings of the National Cadet Corps will march together in a combined parade on the campus. This special event is scheduled for January 26th.

A New Tradition Begins

The university will witness a powerful display of discipline and unity. Approximately 150 NCC cadets are set to participate in this ceremonial march. They will represent the Army, Naval, and Air wings together in a single parade. This marks a significant departure from previous years.

Breaking from Past Patterns

Earlier Republic Day celebrations at Lucknow University followed a different format. The parades traditionally featured only the Army and Naval wings of the NCC. The inclusion of the Air wing this year creates a complete tri-service presentation. It is a first for the university campus.

The participating cadets will come from specific units. These include the 63rd and 64th Uttar Pradesh Army battalions. They will be joined by members from the 3rd naval wing. Cadets from the 5th air wing squadron will also be part of this grand display.

Officials Highlight the Significance

Rajneesh Yadav serves as the NCC coordinator for Lucknow University. He shared his thoughts on this groundbreaking event. "This tri-service NCC parade reflects the discipline, coordination and patriotism of our cadets," Yadav stated. He emphasized how the parade showcases the military training and unity of the young participants.

The parade promises to be a vivid demonstration of skill and dedication. It symbolizes a new chapter in the university's Republic Day observances. Students and staff eagerly anticipate this unique spectacle of national pride and cadet excellence.
