Students from Index Medical College Hospital & Research Centre, affiliated with Malwanchal University in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, have delivered an exceptional performance at the prestigious national-level medical conference, CAHO Diagnosticon 2026. This event, which took place on March 13, 2026, brought together over 250 healthcare professionals, researchers, and students from across India to discuss critical topics in healthcare, diagnostics, and infection control.

Top Honors in Oral Presentation Competition

Second-year MBBS students from the 2023 batch, Palash Agnihotri and Divita Bhandari, achieved remarkable success by securing first and second positions, respectively, in the Oral Presentation Competition. Their accomplishments have brought immense pride to the institution, with Dean Dr. Sanjeev Narang congratulating them for their dedication and academic excellence. Dr. Pawan Bhambani also praised the students, encouraging them to continue their contributions to research and medical innovation.

Research Focus on Hospital Infection Prevention

Under the guidance of Dr. Ramnath Karicheri from the Department of Microbiology, the students presented research on the vital topic of "Prevention and Control of Hospital-Acquired Infections." Their work highlighted effective strategies to reduce hospital infections, improve patient safety, and enhance overall healthcare quality. The presentation was highly appreciated by judges for its relevance and practical approach, earning recognition for the university.
