The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has partnered with the ed-tech platform Great Learning to introduce a new professional certification. The program, titled 'Certificate in Leadership with Artificial Intelligence,' is a comprehensive four-month online course designed for working professionals.
Course Details and Key Dates
The online certificate course is scheduled to commence in January 2026. Interested candidates can now submit their applications, with the final deadline for registration set for December 5, 2025. The course curriculum has been exclusively designed and will be delivered by the esteemed faculty of IIT Bombay. Its primary objective is to equip participants with the skills needed to envision, lead, and successfully scale artificial intelligence initiatives within their organisations.
Eligibility, Fees, and Selection Process
This program is tailored for mid to senior-level professionals, business leaders, and entrepreneurs who aim to develop and implement AI-driven strategies. The total course fee is Rs 2 lakh, plus applicable GST.
To be eligible, applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum aggregate of 50 per cent or an equivalent CGPA. Additionally, a minimum of three years of work experience is mandatory. The selection of candidates will be a three-stage process involving application review, an interview, and finally, an offer of registration. Selected individuals will receive an offer letter and must pay the fee to confirm their seat.
Curriculum and Industry Specialisation
The course content is structured to provide a holistic understanding of leading in the AI era. Initial modules will cover foundational concepts such as AI-ready leadership, Generative AI and agents, AI-led business strategy, and building a responsible, AI-first organisation. The curriculum delves into ACID technologies, data modernisation, AI/ML/DL applications, and the economics of AI.
A significant highlight of the program is its focus on practical, industry-specific knowledge. In the final module, participants must choose one specialisation track. The available options are BFSI/Fintech or IT/Data Science. Each track includes sector-relevant case studies, architectures, use cases, regulations, and responsible AI practices, providing learners with actionable insights directly applicable to their field.
