CUET PG 2026: NTA Allows 4 Exam City Choices, Correction Window Opens Jan 18
CUET PG 2026: NTA Allows 4 Exam City Choices Per State

In a significant update aimed at providing greater convenience to aspirants, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued a fresh clarification regarding the selection of examination cities for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026. The key change allows candidates to choose multiple city preferences within their state of residence.

Enhanced Flexibility for Exam City Selection

According to the latest official notice, candidates appearing for CUET PG 2026 will now be permitted to select up to four examination city choices. This selection must be made within the state of their permanent or present residence and is subject to the availability of examination centres. This move is designed to offer students more flexibility and reduce travel-related stress for the crucial entrance test.

Opportunity to Update Preferences in Correction Window

The NTA has also announced an important opportunity for those who have already applied. Candidates who have submitted their CUET PG 2026 application forms will be given a chance to exercise or update their additional examination city preferences during a dedicated application correction window.

The correction window will be active from January 18 to January 20, 2026, until 11:50 PM. During this period, eligible candidates can log in to the official portal at exams.nta.ac.in/cuet-pg and modify their examination city selections. The agency has clarified that all other terms and conditions from the original Information Bulletin will remain unchanged.
