750 Vizag Students Get Samsung Tech Certification

In a significant push for advanced technology education in Andhra Pradesh, a total of 750 students from Visakhapatnam have successfully graduated from the Samsung Innovation Campus (SIC) programme. This initiative is designed to arm the younger generation with critical, industry-ready technological capabilities.

Vignan's Institute Leads with 500 Graduates

The programme witnessed strong participation from two premier institutions in the city. At Vignan's Institute of Information Technology, a robust cohort of 500 students received their certifications. The group was evenly split, with half specializing in the cutting-edge field of artificial intelligence (AI) and the other half mastering coding and programming fundamentals.

A formal felicitation ceremony was held at Vignan's Institute to honour these achievers. The event saw the presence of notable dignitaries including Dr B Ravi Kiran, ACP (Cyber Crime) CID; Dr Sudhakar Jyothula, the principal of Vignan college; and Saroj Apato, Vice President (Strategic Partnerships) at the Electronics Sector Skills Council of India (ESSCI). Certificates were awarded to the students in the presence of faculty and these guests.

DIET College Contributes 250 AI Specialists

Complementing this effort, DIET College celebrated the accomplishment of its 250 students who completed specialised training focused exclusively on artificial intelligence. The felicitation event at DIET was graced by Dadi Ratnakar, Chairman of DIET College; Dr Rugada Vaikunta Rao, the principal; and Saroj Apato from ESSCI.

Boosting India's Digital Skilling Ecosystem

According to representatives from Samsung, the core objective of the Samsung Innovation Campus is to fortify India's digital skilling landscape. The programme strategically focuses on emerging technologies that are driving the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Key areas of training include:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Internet of Things (IoT)
  • Big Data
  • Coding and Programming

By providing hands-on experience in these domains, the SIC initiative directly addresses the growing demand for a skilled tech workforce in the country. The certification of these 750 students in Visakhapatnam marks a concrete step towards building a future-ready talent pool, enhancing employability, and supporting the broader vision of a digitally empowered India.
