UPPSC Declares PCS 2024 Final Results After Two-Year Wait, Neha Panchal Tops
UPPSC PCS 2024 Results Out: Neha Panchal Tops Exam

UPPSC Announces Long-Awaited PCS 2024 Final Results

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has finally declared the conclusive results for the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination (PCS) 2024, bringing an end to an extensive waiting period that spanned over two years for numerous aspirants. The announcement, made late on Sunday night, marks a significant milestone in one of the state's most competitive recruitment processes.

Top Performers and Merit List Highlights

Neha Panchal has emerged as the topper of this prestigious examination, showcasing exceptional performance. Following closely, Ananya Trivedi secured the second position, while Abhay Pratap Singh claimed the third spot in the official merit ranking.

A notable aspect of this year's results is the strong representation of female candidates. Six women have secured positions within the top ten ranks, with four of these high-achievers hailing from Uttar Pradesh itself. This demonstrates a remarkable performance trend among female examinees in the 2024 cycle.

Selection Details and Category-Wise Distribution

Originally, the commission had advertised 947 vacancies across 24 distinct service categories. However, the final selection has been made for 932 positions, with 15 posts remaining unfilled due to the unavailability of suitable candidates meeting the required standards.

According to UPPSC Secretary Ashok Kumar, comprehensive details including individual candidate marks, category-specific cut-off scores, and post-wise qualifying marks will be published shortly on the commission's official website. This transparency will provide valuable insights for future aspirants.

The selection breakdown reveals significant representation from various reserved categories:

  • 272 candidates from the Other Backward Classes (OBC) category
  • 186 candidates from the Scheduled Castes (SC) category
  • 22 candidates from the Scheduled Tribes (ST) category

The formal recommendations for these selected candidates will now be forwarded to the state government to initiate the appointment procedures.

Extended Timeline and Examination Delays

This result declaration comes after an unusually prolonged gap of two years since the previous cycle. For context, the PCS 2023 final results were announced on January 23, 2024. The 2024 examination process faced multiple disruptions that significantly delayed the entire schedule.

The preliminary examination, originally scheduled much earlier, had to be postponed several times following protests by aspirants. It was eventually conducted on December 22, 2024, with results declared on February 28, 2025.

The main examination took place from June 29 to July 2, 2025, with its results announced seven months later on February 4. The interview phase was conducted between February 16 and March 20, with two additional interviews held separately on March 23 following specific directives from the High Court before the final merit list could be compiled and published.

The final announcement arrives approximately one and a half years after the initial preliminary test, highlighting the extensive timeline candidates had to endure throughout this recruitment cycle.
