Uttar Pradesh Government Schools Implement Revised Schedule Amid Intense Heatwave
In response to the ongoing severe heatwave conditions, government schools across Uttar Pradesh will adopt a new operational schedule starting from Tuesday. An official order issued by the Director of Basic Education, Pratap Singh Baghel, mandates that all institutions under the UP Basic Education Council will function from 7:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Detailed Breakdown of the New School Timings
The revised timetable has been carefully structured to minimize student exposure to the peak afternoon heat while ensuring educational continuity. According to the directive, formal teaching activities will conclude at 12:30 PM. The school day will commence with morning assembly and yoga sessions scheduled from 7:30 AM to 7:40 AM. A crucial component of the new schedule involves the distribution of meals under the PM Poshan scheme, formerly known as the Mid-Day Meal program. This nutritional support will be provided to students between 10:00 AM and 10:15 AM each school day.
