Udupi District Achieves Remarkable Success in Karnataka II PU Examination Results
The Udupi district has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess in the recently announced Karnataka II Pre-University (PU) examination results. Beyond securing the top position, numerous students from the district have clinched prestigious ranks at the state level, highlighting the region's educational excellence.
Top Performers with 598 Marks in Science and Commerce Streams
Rashmi, a dedicated student from Janatha Independent PU College in Hemmadi, Kundapur taluk, achieved an impressive score of 598 marks in the science stream. The daughter of businessman Rajesh Pai and government school teacher Pooja Kini, Rashmi attributes her success to consistent study habits and a passion for reading.
"My reading habit was instrumental in helping me secure good marks," Rashmi told TOI. "I aspire to become a lecturer in a government college after completing my BSc and MSc degrees. Initially, I dedicated 2-3 hours daily to studying at home, but in the weeks leading up to the exams, I increased this to 5-6 hours per day."
In the commerce stream, Prerana Ramachandra Hegde from Creative PU College in Hirgana, Karkala taluk, also scored 598 marks. She credits her achievement to the unwavering support from her lecturers, college management, and parents.
"The constant encouragement from everyone filled me with positive energy to study effectively," Prerana explained. "Our study schedules at college and home were meticulously planned. Revising previous years' question papers, participating in preparatory exams, and the supportive environment both at college and home boosted my confidence for the final examination." Prerana expressed deep gratitude to her father, Ramachandra Hegde, an employee at NPCIL in Kaiga, and her homemaker mother, Shilpagiri BM.
Multiple Students Secure 597 Marks Across Various Colleges
