While a select number of schools initiated remote classes earlier this week, the vast majority of institutions are scheduled to begin their formal curriculum on April 6, 2026. Chitra Sharma, Principal of JSS Private School in Dubai, revealed that the initial weeks of the academic term will primarily focus on diagnostic and formative assessments. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had previously cancelled all Class X and XII final examinations due to ongoing regional conflicts, following initial postponements. While there had been earlier expectations regarding the possible resumption of physical classroom instruction, the UAE Ministry of Education has confirmed that online learning will continue for all educational levels—including nurseries, kindergartens, public and private schools, and universities—until at least April 17, 2026.
