A devastating road accident in Aligarh has resulted in the deaths of two Class 10 students and left another critically injured. The incident occurred on Friday evening in the Tarauli area under the jurisdiction of the Godha police station, near Alampur Kayasthan.

Details of the Fatal Collision

The three students were returning from their board examination at KL Inter College when a speeding pickup truck rammed into their motorcycle. According to police reports, the boys were traveling on a single motorcycle back to their village when the collision took place.

The victims have been identified as:

  • Arvind Singh, aged 16
  • Gopal Singh, aged 17

Both students were residents of Alampur Kayasthan and died at the scene of the accident. The impact of the collision was so severe that it threw all three boys onto the road.

Injured Student Receives Medical Treatment

The third student, Satyendra Singh, also from the same village, sustained serious injuries in the accident. He was initially taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment before being referred to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College in Aligarh for more specialized care.

Family members described the horrific scene, noting the violent nature of the collision that left their children scattered on the roadway.

Police Investigation and Response

Police authorities reached the accident scene after receiving information about the incident. They took custody of the bodies and arranged for post-mortem examinations to be conducted.

SHO Kamal Pratap Chauhan provided details about the ongoing investigation: "The bodies were sent for post-mortem examination. No formal complaint has been filed so far. Our investigation is currently underway, and appropriate action will be taken based on our findings."

Officials confirmed that efforts are actively under way to trace the pickup truck driver, who fled the scene immediately after causing the accident.

Community Response and Educational Background

Former village head Pravindra Kumar shared additional information about the students and the aftermath of the tragedy. He revealed that the students studied at ACN Inter College in their village but had their examination center at KL Inter College.

Regarding the post-accident procedures, Kumar stated: "The post-mortem examinations were conducted, and the bodies were handed over to the families in the evening. The families are currently engaged in cremation ceremonies, and a formal police complaint will be registered soon."

The local community has been shaken by this tragic loss of young lives, particularly as the students were returning from their important board examinations. The incident highlights ongoing concerns about road safety in the region, especially for students traveling to and from examination centers.
