The Teachers Recruitment Board (TRB) is all set to conduct the crucial assistant professor examinations this week in Trichy. The exams are scheduled for December 27 and will be held across 10 examination centres located throughout the district. Examination Schedule and Candidate Details
A total of 2,624 candidates are expected to appear for the examination, which will test knowledge across 43 different subjects. The district administration has confirmed that among these candidates, 76 are persons with disabilities. To ensure fair opportunity, 20 of these candidates will be permitted to write the examination with the assistance of scribes.
The examination will be conducted in two sessions. The morning session for the objective-type paper will run from 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM. Candidates with disabilities will be granted an extended time, allowing them to write until 1:00 PM. Later, the afternoon session for the descriptive-type examination is scheduled from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with an additional 20 minutes provided for candidates with disabilities.
Strict Reporting and Security Protocols
The district administration has issued strict guidelines to ensure the smooth and fair conduct of the exams. Candidates have been instructed to report to their centres early, as the frisking process will begin at 8:30 AM for the morning session. The entry gates will be closed sharply at 9:00 AM, and no latecomers will be permitted entry under any circumstances.
For the afternoon session, frisking will commence at 2:00 PM, with gates locking at 2:30 PM. To manage security and frisking, the authorities have deployed teams comprising both male and female police personnel, supported by physical education teachers. Teachers assigned to examination duty have been directed to report to their respective centres by 7:30 AM.
Mandatory Documents and Official Instructions
Adherence to document rules is non-negotiable for entry. Candidates must carry two essential items: the admit card with photograph downloaded from the official TRB website, and one original identity proof. Acceptable ID proofs include the Aadhaar card, PAN card, passport, or driving licence. The release explicitly stated that only candidates producing both documents will be allowed to sit for the examination.
