Telangana Schools Reopen June 15, Academic Calendar Out

The school education department in Telangana has announced a revised reopening date for schools across the state. Instead of the previously scheduled June 12, schools will now reopen on June 15. This decision was made after receiving representations from various stakeholders, and officials noted that June 13 and 14 fall on the second Saturday and Sunday, making the postponement more practical.

Compensating for Lost Days

To compensate for the three lost working days, July 11, which is normally observed as a second Saturday holiday, will be a regular working day for all government and private schools.

Revised Order Issued

Dr. E Naveen Nicolas, Director of School Education, issued the revised order on Sunday. He directed all heads of departments, regional joint directors, and district education officers to communicate the changes to schools under their jurisdiction.
