Jodhpur Teacher Suspended for Sharing Sealed Exam Box Photo on WhatsApp

A government school teacher in Jodhpur has been suspended just one day before the SI Recruitment Examination-2025, after officials discovered a photograph of a sealed question paper box on his WhatsApp status. The incident, confirmed by authorities on Saturday, has raised serious concerns about examination protocol and security.

Details of the Security Breach

The suspended teacher, identified as Deepak Gehlot, serves as a computer instructor at a government school in Bhopalgarh tehsil. He is currently on deputation at the Jodhpur district collectorate and was part of the team responsible for handling examination materials. The controversial image displayed a sealed steel box containing question papers intended for the recruitment exam scheduled for Sunday and Monday.

Although the question papers themselves remained secure and untouched, authorities deemed the act of photographing and sharing the box as a significant breach of established protocol. Additional District Magistrate Anjum Tahir Shama emphasized that while the integrity of the papers was maintained, the unauthorized dissemination of the image represented a serious violation of security measures.

Immediate Administrative Response

Upon learning of the incident, the district administration promptly notified the education department, leading to swift disciplinary action against Gehlot. The question papers had been securely sealed in steel boxes and deposited in the treasury on Friday evening under a comprehensive seven-layer security arrangement. This precautionary measure highlights the administration's commitment to maintaining examination integrity.

The district administration has issued a stern warning, stating that strict legal action will be taken against anyone found spreading rumors or circulating the image on social media platforms. This vigilance comes amid heightened concerns over exam integrity, particularly following irregularities in the SI Recruitment Examination-2021, which was recently cancelled by a division bench of the Rajasthan High Court.

Examination Arrangements and Scale

For the SI Recruitment Examination-2025, a total of 111 examination centers have been established in Jodhpur city alone. The exam, which aims to fill 1,015 posts, will be conducted in two shifts to accommodate the large number of candidates. Across Rajasthan, approximately 7.7 lakh candidates are expected to appear at 1,174 centers spread across 41 districts.

Officials have assured that elaborate arrangements have been implemented to ensure the examination is conducted fairly and securely this year. The suspension of the teacher serves as a clear message that any deviation from protocol will be met with immediate and severe consequences, reinforcing the administration's dedication to upholding the sanctity of the recruitment process.
