Tamil Nadu's UPSC Coaching Initiatives Yield Results, Says CM Stalin

Chief Minister M.K. Stalin of Tamil Nadu declared on Wednesday that the state government's focused initiatives to coach UPSC aspirants are beginning to yield significant results. Speaking to successful candidates who cleared the civil services examination in Chennai, Stalin expressed optimism that the number of persons clearing the exam from Tamil Nadu should increase in the coming years.

Targeted Measures and Advanced Training

The DMK government stepped in with targeted measures, including advanced training and interview guidance, after observing a decline in the number of successful candidates from the state in previous years. This proactive approach has already borne fruit, with 60 candidates from Tamil Nadu clearing the UPSC examination this year. Notably, 56 of these candidates benefited from the state's 'Naan Mudhalvan' coaching and incentive scheme, highlighting the effectiveness of the program.

Stalin emphasized that this number should increase further, urging more youngsters to take inspiration from the achievers and succeed in the coming years. "Many more youngsters must take inspiration from you and succeed in the coming years," he stated, reinforcing the government's commitment to supporting aspirants.

Balancing Professional and Personal Life

In addition to celebrating the academic achievements, Stalin also advised the young officers to balance their professional responsibilities with family commitments. He stressed the importance of maintaining strong family ties, regardless of work pressures. "However busy you are at work, never forget to call your parents on the phone and speak to them regularly. Allot at least 5 minutes for them and enquire whether they took food and medicine," Stalin counseled, showcasing a holistic approach to officer development.

Parental Support Through Government Schemes

Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin, while wishing the achievers, likened Stalin's efforts to parental support. He remarked that Stalin was helping UPSC aspirants like a parent helping their child through the Naal Mudhalvan Scheme. This analogy underscores the nurturing and dedicated approach the state government has adopted to foster success among civil service candidates.

The initiatives reflect a broader strategy to enhance educational outcomes and career opportunities in Tamil Nadu, positioning the state as a supportive environment for ambitious individuals aiming for prestigious roles in public service.
