Surat Students Deliver Stellar Performance in JEE Main 2026
The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2026 on April 20, and students from Surat have once again showcased exceptional academic prowess. Among the city's top performers, Sanvi Zaveri emerged as a standout achiever among girls, securing an impressive 99.91 percentile and an All India Rank (AIR) of 1414.
Sanvi Zaveri's Dedicated Preparation Strategy
A student of PP Savani School, Sanvi attributed her success to a focused and disciplined approach. She prepared for the highly competitive exam through coaching provided at her school and made a conscious decision to avoid using a mobile phone during her studies. This strategic move helped her minimise distractions and maintain unwavering concentration on her academic goals.
Top Rankers from Surat Secure Positions in Elite 200
The city's performance was further highlighted by two students who secured ranks within the top 200 nationally. Niraj Partani achieved an outstanding AIR-111 with a remarkable 99.9956 percentile. He credited his achievement to disciplined preparation, dedicating approximately six quality hours daily to his studies.
Another high achiever, Shaurya Khemka, secured AIR-179 with a percentile of 99.9926. Shaurya emphasised that consistent study habits and rigorous practice with previous-year question papers were pivotal to his performance.
Aspirations for IIT and Computer Science
Both Niraj and Shaurya are students at RMG Maheshwari School and had also enrolled at a private coaching institute in Surat to bolster their preparation. With their strong results in JEE Main, they now aspire to pursue Computer Science from a reputed Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) after successfully clearing the JEE Advanced examination.
Additional Notable Performances
Adding to Surat's impressive tally, Jinit Bhalala of Jay Ambe School also performed exceptionally well, securing AIR-1450 with a percentile of 99.92. This consistent high performance across multiple students underscores the city's growing reputation as a hub for academic excellence in competitive examinations.
