Gaya Student Shubham Kumar Secures Perfect Score in JEE Main Session-2
In a remarkable academic achievement, Shubham Kumar from Gaya district in Bihar has once again demonstrated exceptional prowess by securing a perfect 100 percentile in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session-2. The National Testing Agency (NTA) officially announced the results on Monday, highlighting Shubham as one of only 26 students across the entire country to attain this flawless score.
A Consistent High Performer
This is not the first time Shubham has achieved such a stellar result. In JEE Main Session-1, he also secured a 100 percentile, sharing the honor with 11 other students nationwide. His consistent performance underscores his dedication and mastery of the challenging engineering entrance exam.
Humble Beginnings and Educational Journey
Hailing from a modest background in Nadarganj Brahmani Ghat, Gaya city, Shubham's success has brought immense pride and honor to his entire district. He completed his early education at Nazareth Academy School in Gaya, where he passed Class X. For his Class XII, he attended British English School, laying a strong academic foundation.
Driven by his dream of becoming an engineer, Shubham took a significant step after matriculation by moving to Kota, Rajasthan, last year. This relocation allowed him to prepare for competitive engineering entrance exams in a focused and intensive environment, renowned for its coaching institutes.
Discipline and Study Philosophy
Known for his unwavering discipline and consistency, Shubham adhered to a strict daily study routine of 10 to 12 hours. He paid special attention to difficult subjects and firmly believes in the power of self-study. "Coaching provides direction and clears doubts, but the real hard work lies in self-study. That is what takes you to the destination," he explained.
His entire focus is now on JEE Advanced, as scoring well in this exam is crucial for securing admission to prestigious engineering institutes like the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
Family Support and Inspiration
Coming from a middle-class family, Shubham never allowed limited resources to hinder his ambitions. His father, Shivkumar, operates a hardware store on Ramna Road in Gaya, while his mother, Kanchan Devi, is a homemaker. Shubham credits his parents' sacrifices, the guidance of his teachers, and his own dedication for this outstanding achievement.
He also draws inspiration from his elder sister, who is currently a first-year engineering student at IIT-Patna, further motivating his pursuit of excellence in the field.
