Sainik School Nalanda welcomes 109 cadets for 2025-26

In a weekend marked by fresh beginnings and fond farewells, two prominent educational institutions in Bihar's capital witnessed significant events. Sainik School Nalanda officially welcomed its new cohort of cadets, while the International School (ICSE wing) hosted an emotional send-off for its departing senior students.

A Grand Welcome for Future Leaders at Sainik School

Sainik School Nalanda opened its doors to 109 newly admitted cadets for the upcoming 2025-26 academic session. The welcome ceremony, held on Saturday at the principal's official residence, the Mauryan House, was a vibrant affair. The incoming batch comprises 98 boys and 11 girls who have secured admission into Classes VI and IX.

The event was highlighted by a colourful cultural programme meticulously presented by selected cadets. The performances showcased a range of talents, from self-composed poetry and personal experience narrations to recitations, songs, and instrumental music. The gathering was attended by the school's faculty, staff, and their families, creating a warm and inclusive atmosphere for the newcomers.

Motivational Words from the Leadership

Addressing the young cadets, Principal Colonel Bhupender Kumar inspired them to make the most of the opportunities provided by the esteemed institution. He motivated them to build disciplined habits, forge strong and lasting bonds with their peers, and actively utilise the school's sports and other facilities for holistic development.

Manju Kumar, the first lady of the campus, also addressed the students. She encouraged them to maintain unwavering focus on their training and academic goals, setting a clear path for success from the very beginning. The ceremony was also graced by Vice-Principal Lieutenant Colonel Deepak Singh Thakur.

International School Bids Adieu with a 'Title Ceremony'

In a separate yet equally significant event, the International School's ICSE wing organised a farewell for its outgoing students of Classes X and XII from the 2025-2026 batch. The event, titled an "emotional-cum-joyful farewell party," was held on Sunday and named the "Title Ceremony."

This unique farewell saw students receiving special titles that celebrated their individual personalities and contributions to the school. The ceremony was organised by the junior students under the guidance of their teachers.

The winners of the prestigious titles were:

  • Shubh Darshil Pradhan was crowned 'Mr International', with Dhairya Mehta as the runner-up.
  • Aaradhya Singh won the 'Miss International' title, followed by Anusha Thakur.
  • The 'Popular Icon' titles were bagged by Nishtham Anup (Boy) and Shivanshi Jha (Girl).
  • The 'Best Dressed Boy' title was jointly claimed by Shobhit Sudarshan and Yusuf Hasan, while Anokhi Soni shone as the 'Best Dressed Girl'.
  • Arnav Mishra was honoured as the 'Star Performer of the Day'.

Praise and Promises for the Future

The judging panel for the titles consisted of teachers Vandana Sinha, Zarine Mallick, Mehwish, and guest educationist Subia Hasan. The farewell featured cultural performances, heartfelt speeches, and a walk down memory lane.

School Director Farhat Hasan praised the departing batch, stating that they had left an indelible mark on the institution. He expressed confidence that they would continue to excel and achieve great heights in their future endeavours, carrying forward the school's legacy.

These events underscore the dynamic educational environment in Patna, where institutions are not only focusing on academic rigor but also on building character, recognising individuality, and fostering a strong sense of community among students.
