Rewa Teacher Beats Student, Sister for Incomplete Homework

A shocking incident of alleged brutal assault on an 11-year-old student by his teacher has come to light in Rewa, Madhya Pradesh. The family claims the child was beaten with a steel water bottle and repeatedly slammed against a wall for failing to complete his homework.

Details of the Alleged Assault

The traumatic event reportedly occurred on Saturday evening at a private school in Rewa. According to the child's kin, the teacher's fury over unfinished homework led to a violent physical attack. The assailant allegedly hit the boy on the head with a steel bottle and then slammed him against a wall multiple times.

In a distressing turn, the victim's sister, who also studies at the same school, witnessed the assault and tried to intervene. The family alleges that the teacher then turned on her and assaulted her as well. Shockingly, the school management neither arranged any medical treatment for the bleeding child nor informed his parents about the serious incident.

Aftermath and Attempted Cover-Up

The child returned home in a injured state. Since the incident, he has been severely traumatised. His family reports that he developed a high fever, stopped eating and drinking, and exhibits intense fear at the mere mention of school. The boy is currently undergoing treatment and is struggling emotionally, having been assaulted in front of his classmates.

The family has accused the school management of trying to suppress the matter from Saturday evening onwards. They claim the institution made no effort to address the gravity of the situation or provide support.

Police Investigation and Father's Vacillating Complaint

Rewa SDOP (Sirmour) Umesh Prajapati provided details of the police's involvement to TOI. He stated that the child's father initially approached the police with a complaint two days after the incident but soon retracted it, submitting in writing that he did not wish to pursue the case. However, on Monday, the father returned to file the same complaint again.

In response, SDOP Prajapati has instructed the police station incharge to obtain and examine the CCTV footage from the private school premises. The police have confirmed they are awaiting this footage and will decide their further course of action based on the findings. The investigation is currently ongoing.
