PSSSB Clerk Recruitment 2026: Punjab Board Announces Revised Examination Schedule
The Subordinate Services Selection Board of Punjab (PSSSB) has officially revised the examination schedule for recruitment linked to Advertisement No. 08 of 2025 and Advertisement No. 02 of 2026. In a public notice issued from its office at Van Bhawan, Sector-68, S.A.S. Nagar, the board confirmed significant changes to previously announced written examination dates for various posts, including Clerk positions.
Key Changes to Written Examination Dates
According to the detailed notice released by the board, the written examination dates for posts across different departments have been rescheduled. Candidates who applied for these vacancies have been formally informed that all examination-related updates, including admit card releases and specific instructions, will be published exclusively on the official PSSSB website.
Revised Schedule for Group D Posts (Advertisement No. 08 of 2025): The written examination for various Group D posts across multiple departments, originally scheduled for March 01, 2026, has been postponed. The board has now fixed the new examination date as April 05, 2026.
Revised Schedule for Clerk Posts (Advertisement No. 02 of 2026): Similarly, the written examination for Clerk posts advertised under Advertisement No. 02 of 2026 in Group C has also been rescheduled. Initially planned for April 05, 2026, the examination will now be conducted on April 19, 2026, as per the updated schedule.
Recruitment Notification and Application Process Details
The recruitment notification for Clerk posts was issued earlier this year, with PSSSB releasing the official Clerk Recruitment 2026 notification on February 13, 2026. The online application process commenced on the same day, allowing candidates to submit their applications through the official website until March 06, 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill Clerk positions in various departments of the Punjab state government.
Eligibility Criteria and Application Fee Structure
For the Clerk position, applicants must possess a graduate degree along with typing skills. Additionally, candidates are required to have passed their Class 10 examination with Punjabi as a compulsory subject. The prescribed age limit for the recruitment is between 18 and 37 years, with January 01, 2026, serving as the crucial date for age determination.
The application fee structure was as follows:
- Rs. 1000 for General category, Freedom Fighter, and Sports Quota candidates
- Rs. 250 for SC, ST, and EWS applicants
- Rs. 200 for ex-servicemen and their dependents
