NTA Activates Correction Window for GAT-B and BET 2026 Applications
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially launched the application correction window for the Graduate Aptitude Test-Biotechnology (GAT-B) and Biotechnology Eligibility Test (BET) 2026. This facility provides a crucial opportunity for registered candidates to review and amend their application forms before the final submission deadline.
Correction Window Details and Access
As per the official notification released by NTA, the correction window is now open and will remain accessible until April 13, 2026, up to 11:50 PM. Candidates who have already registered for the GAT-B and BET 2026 examinations can make necessary changes by visiting the official NTA portal at exams.nta.nic.in/gat-bet. The agency has emphasized that this is a one-time facility, and no further corrections will be permitted after the window closes, urging all applicants to act promptly.
Examination Schedule and Mode
The GAT-B and BET 2026 exams are scheduled to be conducted on May 17, 2026, in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. These tests will be held at various examination centers across India, catering to biotechnology aspirants nationwide. Candidates are advised to mark their calendars and prepare accordingly for the upcoming assessments.
Editable and Non-Editable Fields in Application Forms
According to NTA guidelines, certain details in the application forms cannot be altered under any circumstances. These include:
- Mobile number
- Email address
- Photograph
However, candidates are allowed to modify specific fields with certain restrictions. They can change any one of the following:
- Candidate’s name
- Father’s name
- Mother’s name
Additionally, all of the following details are fully editable:
- Date of birth
- Gender
- Category
- Sub-category/Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- Permanent and present address
- Signature
- Exam applied for
- Class 10/equivalent details
- Graduation details
- Post graduation details
- Identity proof (only for candidates who registered using identity proof other than Aadhaar)
Important Instructions for Candidates
NTA has issued several key instructions for applicants utilizing the correction facility. If any modifications result in an increase in the application fee, candidates must pay the additional amount online through accepted payment methods such as Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking, or UPI. The agency has clarified that any extra payments made previously will not be refunded, so candidates should ensure accuracy before submitting corrections.
Once candidates submit their corrected forms, the application will be frozen, and no further changes can be made. This underscores the importance of thorough review during the correction period.
