Prayagraj: Dr AK Verma, the principal of Motilal Nehru (MLN) Medical College, conducted an inspection of the under-construction Children's hospital building within the SRN Hospital complex on Saturday. This project is being carried out under the supervision of the Allahabad High Court.
Inspection Details and Directives
During the inspection, Dr Verma assessed the progress and quality of the construction work, along with various technical arrangements. He issued directives to officials from the executing agency to ensure completion of the project within the stipulated time frame. Special emphasis was placed on the dual oxygen pipeline system, installation of patient lifts, glass fitting works, and electrical panel board installations.
Action Plan for Service Transfer
Meanwhile, authorities at SRN Hospital held detailed discussions regarding the formulation of an action plan and necessary protocols for transferring services to the new children's hospital. The primary objective is to ensure that patients do not face any inconvenience once the hospital becomes operational.
Enhanced Patient Facilities
In addition to the ongoing construction, the SRN Hospital authorities have taken steps to improve patient convenience. They have ensured the availability of cool drinking water, seating arrangements, and electric fans. Furthermore, stretchers and wheelchairs have been made available at the main entrance for the ease of visiting patients and their accompanying relatives. These facilities are now accessible at the entrance of the Trauma Centre.
