The Himachal Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (HPBSE) has officially released the provisional answer keys for the SMC-LDR Test-2026 on its official website. This development allows candidates who appeared for the examinations to verify their responses and submit objections if any discrepancies are identified.
Examination Details and Answer Key Availability
Dr. Rajesh Sharma, Chairman of HPBSE, confirmed that the SMC-LDR Test-2026 was conducted on February 22, 2026, across various examination centres in the state. The test covered multiple subjects, including:
- TGT Arts
- TGT Medical
- TGT Non-Medical
- TGT Hindi
- TGT Sanskrit
- Drawing Master
- JBT
The Board has uploaded answer keys for all series – A, B, C, and D – to the official website www.hpbose.org for candidate verification. This move is part of HPBSE's ongoing efforts to ensure transparency and accuracy in the evaluation process.
Objection Submission Process and Deadline
Candidates who identify errors in the answer keys can submit objections along with supporting evidence. The deadline for filing objections is March 7, 2026. Submissions can be made through the following methods:
- Via email at hpbosesopapersetting.43@gmail.com
- In person at the Board office on working days
The Board has clarified that no objections received after this date will be considered, emphasizing the importance of timely submissions.
Upcoming Examination Procedures and Rescheduling
Dr. Sharma also provided updates on other examination-related matters. For the Matriculation (10th) and Intermediate (12th) regular and State Open School (SOS) annual examinations scheduled for March 2026, MCQ answer keys will be made available within 48 hours of exam completion. Objections from candidates, teachers, or other individuals will be reviewed by subject experts, with necessary corrections applied by April 5, 2026.
Additionally, the practical evaluation for vocational subjects in Classes 10th and 12th has been rescheduled. Originally planned for February, delays occurred due to on-the-job training (OJT) for vocational trainers and difficult geographical conditions in certain areas. The evaluation period is now set from April 2, 2026, to April 17, 2026.
The Board has issued instructions to SPD/SSC offices and school principals to ensure evaluations are conducted within this timeframe. Students who missed the initial schedule will be allowed to participate, with evaluations conducted online or offline as needed.
Board's Commitment to Transparency and Fairness
Dr. Sharma urged students to adhere to examination guidelines and reaffirmed HPBSE's commitment to maintaining a transparent, systematic, and student-friendly examination process. The Board continues to implement measures aimed at fairness and efficiency across all examinations, reinforcing its dedication to educational excellence in Himachal Pradesh.
