Two experienced teachers at a reputed public school in Haridwar have been dismissed from their positions with immediate effect. This drastic action followed serious allegations that surfaced on social media regarding their private communication with a former female student.
School Takes Swift Action Against Rule Violation
According to the school management, both educators had been teaching at the institution for several years. The administration emphasized that there are clear and strict guidelines prohibiting teaching staff from contacting students and their parents through private channels. The teachers were found guilty of breaking these established rules, leading to their prompt termination after an internal review.
Social Media Post Triggers Controversy and Police Involvement
The entire controversy erupted after the former student shared a reel online. In her post, she claimed that the teachers had messaged her privately. Her allegations quickly triggered reactions from other students, prompting the school administration to take notice.
The school first suspended the two teachers and, following its internal review, proceeded to terminate their services. Demonstrating the seriousness with which they viewed the matter, the school management also formally approached the Ranipur police to investigate.
Police Case Proceeds Despite Lack of Formal Complaint
SSI (Ranipur) Nitin Chauhan confirmed the developments on Friday. He stated that the police received a complaint from the school requesting an investigation. Initially, however, no students came forward to provide specific details about the alleged chats.
Chauhan added a crucial detail: The former student who originally shared the content online subsequently removed it from social media and showed no interest in filing an official police complaint. Despite this withdrawal, due to the sensitive nature of the allegations, the police have decided to file a case to ensure a proper investigation is conducted.
"We asked all students and parents to cooperate and provide us with details," SSI Nitin Chauhan stated, underscoring the ongoing efforts to uncover the facts surrounding this case.
