Delhi Launches CM Shri Schools with AI Classrooms and Robotics Labs
New Delhi: As students step into their classrooms, a vibrant interactive panel illuminates the front of the room, showcasing the day's educational objectives. Some pupils immediately engage with an artificial intelligence-powered quiz customized to their individual proficiency levels, while others gather robotics kits from the newly established skill laboratory. This dynamic environment represents the innovative vision of a CM Shri classroom, where cutting-edge technology, practical skills, and innate curiosity converge to redefine the learning experience.
Foundation Stones Laid for 75 School Projects
This ambitious educational transformation began materializing on Tuesday with the official launch of the CM Shri School at Sarojini Nagar. Simultaneously, foundation stones were ceremoniously laid for 75 CM Shri School projects across the national capital. As part of this extensive rollout, authorities inaugurated 500 smart classrooms distributed across 11 different schools, marking the crucial first phase of a comprehensive educational overhaul. The installation of over 7,000 smart interactive boards in classrooms throughout Delhi is currently underway, with all facilities projected to become fully operational by March of the coming year.
AI-Enabled Classrooms Revolutionize Teaching Methods
At the heart of this pioneering initiative are AI-enabled smart classrooms specifically designed to transcend traditional chalk-and-board teaching methodologies. These technologically advanced spaces feature interactive panels, extensive digital learning repositories, and sophisticated blended teaching tools that allow lessons to dynamically adapt to varying student learning levels. A teacher from the CM Shri School in Sarojini Nagar elaborated on how this technological integration fundamentally transforms daily instruction.
"The technology makes our teaching responsibilities significantly more efficient. Using a conventional blackboard requires manually drawing diagrams, erasing content, and highlighting specific sections, which becomes quite laborious. Within an AI-enabled configuration featuring smart boards, I can seamlessly utilize technological tools to elucidate complex concepts with greater clarity and engagement," the educator explained.
Career Preparation Through Competitive Exam Portals
The educational transformation extends comprehensively into career preparation through specialized competitive examination portals. These digital platforms will provide structured preparation for national-level examinations including JEE, NEET, and CUET through monthly computer-based tests accompanied by detailed performance tracking and analytics. Complementing this academic support, multisectoral skill laboratories introduce students to robotics, artificial intelligence, design principles, and mechatronics beginning in middle school grades.
Hands-On Learning in Robotics Laboratories
Within these innovative laboratories, students actively assemble prototypes and conduct experiments with various mechanical systems. Harshita, a Class XII student, shared her team's accomplishments: "Our team successfully developed a reprogrammable robotic arm prototype alongside a miniature robotic arm, among several other technological creations." Another robotics team comprising Amit, Dayashankar, and Bhuvnesh collaborated on practical innovation, explaining their project: "Our unmanned ground vehicle prototype has been engineered to transport payloads weighing approximately 7 to 10 kilograms effectively."
Comprehensive Digital Literacy and Inclusion Initiatives
Digital literacy constitutes another fundamental pillar of the CM Shri Schools through dedicated ICT laboratories where students cultivate coding proficiency, computational thinking capabilities, and technology-based project development skills. This technological foundation is complemented by digitized libraries that seamlessly integrate physical book collections with electronic resources, specialized research databases, and meticulously curated study materials.
Concurrently, "Science of Living" spaces introduce mindfulness practices, socio-emotional learning modules, and value-based education programs. Specialized language laboratories have been established where students can study foreign languages through immersive technological tools. The schools further emphasize educational inclusion through resource rooms equipped with assistive technologies specifically designed for children with special needs, ensuring equitable learning opportunities for all students.
