CBSE Announces Re-Examination for CTET 2026 Candidates
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially declared a re-examination for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) in 2026. This decision aims to provide relief to students who were unable to participate in the recently conducted exam due to technical difficulties or other disruptions at their examination centers.
Eligibility and Date for the Re-Exam
According to the official notice, the CTET Paper-2 re-exam is specifically scheduled for March 1, 2026. Only candidates who missed their original examination because of technical issues or other valid disruptions are eligible to apply. The board has made it clear that this re-exam is not open to those who successfully appeared in the initial test.

CBSE has advised students to regularly monitor the official website, ctet.nic.in, for precise details regarding their allotted center and reporting time. A new admit card will be issued for this re-exam, which can be downloaded using the candidate's registration number and date of birth. This card will include the address of the examination center and the mandatory reporting time.
